The anime staff for I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand confirmed this week that Rina Honnizumi has joined the cast as Philly, the fifth daughter of the Mastafon noble family. The character made her debut in the series' seventh episode on Monday.

The adaptation brings Ezogingitune and illustrator DeeCHA's light novel to life under director Hiroyuki Kanbe at studio Gekkō. The story follows Luck, a soldier who holds the line single-handedly against demonic forces for ten straight years while his comrades escape. What begins as a desperate stand becomes legend, and Luck must navigate his new world as both a celebrated veteran and an unknown face.

The ensemble cast includes Gakuto Kajiwara as protagonist Luck, alongside Toshiyuki Morikawa, Yui Ishikawa, and others. Additional voice talent includes Nobuhiko Okamoto, Kōsuke Toriumi, and Takehito Koyasu voicing key vampire characters. Mitsutaka Hirota, known for Edens Zero, handles series composition, while Majiro (Macross Delta) designs the characters.

Musically, the opening theme "Soredemo Donten o Koeteyuku" is performed by sajou no hana, with rock-idol group MEISHOHIKOKAI handling the ending theme. Sound direction comes from Ryō Tanaka, and composer Tomotaka Ōsumi rounds out the core creative team.

The series premiered on Amazon Prime Video on July 3 and subsequently rolled out across ABEMA, d Anime Store, and several Japanese television channels including Tokyo MX and BS11 starting July 6. Square Enix and Comikey are publishing the manga adaptation in English, making the story accessible to Western audiences alongside the anime's international availability.
