Volunteer Roles

Guest Experience

Check-In / Ticketing

Welcome guests, scan tickets, answer entry questions, and help create a smooth first impression.

Information Booth

Help attendees find schedules, booths, activities, and event locations while representing Knox Pop Con in a friendly and professional way.

Crowd / Line Management

Keep lines organized, direct foot traffic, and help maintain a safe, calm, and welcoming environment.

Photo Booth / Activity Support

Help manage photo lines, props, simple activity stations, and attendee engagement in interactive areas.

Event Operations

Vendor / Artist Alley Support

Assist vendors and artists with check-in, booth needs, quick questions, and problem-solving during the event.

Setup Team

Help prepare the venue before doors open by setting up tables, signage, booths, materials, and event areas.

Tear-Down Team

Help break down booths, signage, and equipment after the event so the venue is left clean and organized.

General Support / Runner

Float where needed, deliver supplies or messages, and help solve small issues quickly across the event.

Programming & Hospitality

Stage Crew / Performance Support

Support performers and stage operations by helping with lineup flow, backstage coordination, and fast transitions between acts.

Guest Hospitality & Booth Support

Help guest artists, special participants, or featured booths feel supported, informed, and taken care of throughout the event.

VIP Hospitality

Support VIP guests with check-in, guidance, seating flow, schedule assistance, and a polished guest experience.

Media & Merchandise

Event Photography & Videography

Capture key moments, performances, crowd energy, and behind-the-scenes content for future promotion and storytelling.

Merchandise Booth

Sell event merchandise, answer product questions, handle simple transactions, and keep the booth neat and stocked.

What We Ask From Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers who are:

  • Reliable and on time
  • Friendly and respectful
  • Ready to communicate clearly and work as a team
  • Willing to help create a positive experience for everyone
  • Comfortable following instructions and adapting when needed

Some roles may require standing for long periods, moving quickly, or lifting light to moderate items.
