Madoka Magica Film Gets 40-Inch Plush Collaboration
Taito's Doqute brand has unveiled giant plushes of Madoka and Homura timed to the August release of Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Walpurgisnacht: Rising. The figures stand over 100 centimeters tall and are available for pre-order through March 2027.

To mark the theatrical debut of Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie: Walpurgisnacht: Rising, toy manufacturer Taito revealed oversized plush dolls of the film's two leads, Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi, on August 28.
Both plushes exceed 100 centimeters (roughly 40 inches) in height and are being sold through Taito's online Goods store for 66,000 yen (approximately $410 USD) each. Pre-orders run through October 13, with shipments scheduled for March 2027.
The film itself opened the same day in Japan, continuing the Madoka Magica timeline from 2013's Rebellion. Before the August 28 release, the film's production team requested fans avoid posting spoilers until September 12, giving audiences time to experience the story unspoiled.
The new film also collaborated with the Monogatari Series on a set of crossover shorts that debuted during opening weekend, adding another layer to the media blitz surrounding the release.
For longtime Madoka Magica fans, these plushes represent the kind of premium merchandise that typically ships months after a major release. The March 2027 delivery window suggests production is already underway, pointing to strong pre-order interest even before the film's international release dates are confirmed. North American and Australian release information hasn't been announced yet, though the film's Japanese success suggests a wider rollout is likely.
The Madoka Magica franchise has maintained steady merchandise output since the original 2011 anime series, but theatrical film releases—particularly ones that advance the main story—tend to trigger bigger collector items like these life-sized plushes. For fans of the magical girl series, these oversized figures offer a chance to own physical pieces of a story that has defined the genre for over a decade.
