The Unnamed Memory -after the end- sequel light novel series is reaching its end. Publisher Kadokawa will release the seventh volume on November 17, followed by the eighth and final volume on December 17. Dengeki Bunko, Kadokawa's light novel imprint, will accompany the conclusion with an art book called Unnamed Memory Archives -chibi art works-, also coming in December.

Author Kuji Furumiya first serialized Unnamed Memory on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō web novel platform starting in September 2012. Kadokawa began publishing the story in print with illustrations by chibi in January 2019, releasing six volumes of the original series between 2019 and 2021, plus an "Extra" volume in February 2026.

The -after the end- sequel launched in February 2022 and has run for six volumes, with the sixth shipping in May 2025 and its own "Extra" volume also arriving in February. The property expanded beyond light novels into manga, with Naoki Koshimizu launching an adaptation in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh in September 2020.

The story follows Oscar, crown prince of Farsas, who was cursed as a boy to never produce an heir. Seeking to break the curse, he climbs the tower of Tinasha, the continent's strongest witch, who grants wishes to those who reach her summit. Instead of asking for a cure, he proposes marriage.

The novels gained traction early on, ranking #1 in the 2020 edition of Takarajimasha's Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! guidebook. The property received an anime adaptation that debuted in April 2024, followed by a second season titled Unnamed Memory Act.2 in January 2025. Crunchyroll has streamed both seasons. English-language releases of the light novels and manga are available through Yen Press.
