Viz Media Brings The Seven Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom to English Readers
Viz Media has licensed Nao Iwamoto's fantasy romance manga The Seven Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom for English release, with the first two chapters now available digitally. A TV anime adaptation premieres this Saturday on NHK Educational.

Viz Media announced Thursday that it's publishing Nao Iwamoto's The Seven Knights of the Marronnier Kingdom (Marronnier Ōkoku no Shichinin no Kishi) in English, with the first two chapters uploaded the same day.
The fantasy romance follows seven brothers who serve as knights of the Marronnier Kingdom. When the kingdom sits strategically between eight others, each brother is sent as an ambassador to a different realm—a mission that doubles as a quest to find their destined partner.
The manga has been running since 2016 in Shogakukan's Flowers magazine, a publication aimed at female readers. The series has genuine staying power: it topped the list for manga aimed at women in the 2018 edition of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!), a respected annual guide. The original Japanese release just shipped its 11th volume this June.
The anime adaptation arrives this Saturday, October 5, on NHK Educational at 6:25 p.m. JST (5:25 a.m. EDT). This marks another step in the franchise's expansion—Iwamoto previously saw success with Kingdom of Gold, Kingdom of Water, which inspired a film that opened in January 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment handled the English release of that original manga.
For English-speaking fans, this is a solid entry point into a series that's already proven its appeal to a dedicated audience. Viz's digital release means you can jump in immediately, and if the manga grabs you, the anime debut gives you another way to experience the story just days away.
