Halloween Pop Bash: When Community Shows Up

Hey Bear Café became something special on Halloween weekend. Knox Pop Con's Halloween Pop Bash brought together fans, families, and friends from across East Tennessee for an evening of K-Pop, anime, costumes, and connection. Custom cup sleeves. Candy stations. Photo booths. Itasha cars in the parking lot. A Random Dance Play floor that never stopped moving. The costumes were incredible—spooky, creative, adorable. But the real magic happened in the moments between. First-timers finding the courage to join an RDP circle. Families laughing together over photo booth pictures. Community members reconnecting after months apart—in person, not through a screen. Knox Pop Con exists to create these moments. Safe spaces where young people can express themselves. Events where fans finally meet "their people" offline. Community built through shared love of Asian pop culture. Thank you to Hey Bear Café for opening your doors, to every volunteer, performer, DJ, vendor, and Itasha owner who made this happen—and to everyone who showed up and made the space feel like home. This is just one of many events we host throughout the year. Stay connected for upcoming meetups, seasonal celebrations, and Knox Pop Con 2026.
