物語 — The Story
Born in Knoxville. Built for the stage.
KKG is a Knoxville-based performance group founded by Asami. They are known for high-energy dance showcases blending K-Pop and J-Pop choreography. The team performs across Tennessee at festivals, conventions, cultural events, and community celebrations, bringing the excitement of Asian pop culture to new audiences.
Founded by Asami Martin — a professional dancer from Yokohama, Japan with over 25 years of dance experience — KKG grew from weekly dance classes at the Karns Community Club Youth Center into Knoxville's most recognized K-Pop dance presence. Three class levels run every Monday, building a community of 50+ dancers across all ages and skill levels.
Asami is also the founder of Knox Pop Con — the 501(c)(3) nonprofit behind the festival itself. KKG didn't just perform at KPC 2026 — they were the soul of the entire festival.
