Kyoto Xanadu RPG Set to Launch Across Multiple Platforms July 16
Falcom's adventure RPG Kyoto Xanadu is coming to multiple platforms on July 16, with the game releasing simultaneously on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PC. New commercials for the multi-platform release are now streaming online.
Kyoto Xanadu originally launched in Japan for PlayStation Vita in 2015, followed by an enhanced "eX+" version for PlayStation 4 and PC. The game takes place in modern-day Kyoto and follows high school student Kou Tokisaka as he gets pulled into supernatural mysteries involving otherworldly creatures and parallel dimensions.
The RPG blends traditional Japanese settings with fantasy elements, featuring real-time combat where players can switch between different party members. Players explore both normal Kyoto locations like shrines and shopping districts, as well as mysterious eclipse dimensions filled with dangerous monsters.
This new release marks the first time Kyoto Xanadu will be available on Nintendo Switch platforms, giving portable gaming fans a chance to experience the atmospheric adventure. The game features full voice acting in Japanese and includes both main story content and side quests that explore the rich mythology surrounding Kyoto's spiritual heritage.
With its mix of school life, supernatural mystery, and action RPG gameplay, Kyoto Xanadu offers an engaging experience for fans of modern fantasy adventures set in authentic Japanese locations.
