MediaOCD announced a fresh batch of titles for its Discotek Deep Dives project, continuing the distributor's effort to rescue older anime and films from obscurity. The April additions span everything from beloved 90s series to live-action adaptations, with something for both casual fans and collectors hunting for rare releases.

The spotlight falls on the Urusei Yatsura film collection, which now includes five moviesβ€”Only You, Lum The Forever, Remember My Love, The Final Chapter, and Always My Darlingβ€”plus the complete OAV series. These titles represent key entries in the classic romantic comedy franchise's theatrical history.

Other notable additions include Black Rock Shooter (the anime adaptation), Ghost Stories, Hand Maid May, and Sorcerer Hunters, all getting fresh releases on Blu-ray. The project also ventures outside traditional anime with the live-action Fatal Frame adaptation and Golgo 13 live-action film, alongside older titles like Robot Carnival (newly available in 4K UHD), Space Adventure Cobra, and Great Mazinger.

The Medabots complete series appears in both Japanese and English versions across multiple seasonsβ€”though MediaOCD warns that quantities for Medabots Season 2 are limited. Vintage shows like Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo and Reborn! round out the lineup, all receiving Blu-ray treatment.

MediaOCD launched the Discotek Deep Dives initiative in January, committing to add 20-30 Discotek titles monthly to its storefront. The program prioritizes releases that have become difficult to find through normal retail channels, essentially creating a preservation effort for anime that might otherwise disappear from circulation.

For fans in the US and Canada interested in these titles, pre-orders are now available through MediaOCD's store. The program represents a rare opportunity to grab physical media of anime that studios have largely abandoned, making it a lifeline for collectors and preservationists alike.
