Seven Seas Entertainment Announces Five New Licenses Across Multiple Formats
Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed five new titles including light novels, manga, and audiobooks, with releases spanning from April 2026 through February 2027. The slate includes fantasy adventure, romance, and comedy across various imprints.

Seven Seas Entertainment expanded its catalog this week with five new licenses across light novels, manga, and audiobooks, offering something for multiple audience tastes.
The most high-profile addition is The Berserker NPC Unknowingly Destroys the World, a light novel from creators Narunoruna and Shimotsuki Eito coming to the Airship imprint in December 2026. The story follows Albert Falconer, the youngest son of a warrior clan who discovers at age fourteen that his society was once part of a video game in his past life. Though Albert remembers being an NPCβbasically a background characterβhis actual role in the academy and world proves far more exciting than his past-life memories suggest. The premise blends isekai and game-world elements with the twist of a protagonist learning he's more important than he initially believes.
On the romance front, Seven Seas is bringing Yes, No, or Maybe? as an audiobook through the Siren imprint, hitting April 16. The story centers on Kunieda Kei, a charming news anchor hiding a completely different personality behind closed doors. When a stop-motion animator enters his life, Kei's carefully balanced double life faces pressureβand opens questions about whether someone might accept both versions of who he really is.
Two manga titles round out the announcement. Amamiya-san is the Cutestβ¦and I'm a Close Second! arrives February 2027 and offers a high school rom-com twist: the protagonist is actually a male model famous as "the Cutest Girl in the World," who doesn't find other girls cuteβuntil he meets his plain classmate Amamiya-san. Meanwhile, Hate Me, but Let Me Stay - Mr. Asanaga and Mr. Yanagi joins Seven Seas' BL Label in January 2027, exploring a complex relationship between two elementary school teachers navigating the blurred line between friendship and romance.
These licenses reflect Seven Seas' continued investment in diverse genres and formats, giving fans multiple entry points across fantasy, slice-of-life, and romance stories.
