Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter Remake Launches September 17
Nihon Falcom and GungHo Online Entertainment announced that the Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter remake will release on September 17 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam, with full English and Japanese voice support.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter remake is heading to modern platforms this September. Nihon Falcom and GungHo Online Entertainment confirmed the September 17 release date across PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC via Steam, with a new trailer showing off the updated remake.
This sequel continues the story of Estelle as she searches for Joshua while confronting the Enforcers of Ouroboros. The narrative expands beyond Liberl Kingdom to touch the wider continent of Zemuria, pulling Estelle into ancient mysteries and political conspiracies. With a legendary artifact hanging in the balance, she'll need to step into a leadership role against enemies whose ambitions stretch far beyond what she initially imagines.
The remake maintains strong localization support across all platforms. Both English and Japanese voice acting are available everywhere, while text language options vary by system. PC gets the full suite with Japanese, English, German, French, and Spanish text support. Console versions include English, German, French, and Spanish text.
This follows the successful release of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, which launched simultaneously worldwide last September across the same platforms. That remake breathed new life into the original 2004 PC game, which later spread to PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
The original Trails in the Sky SC debuted on PC in 2006, then came to PlayStation Portable in 2007 and PlayStation 3 in 2013. XSEED Games brought the PSP version to English speakers in 2015, while Nihon Falcom released an Evolution remaster in Japan that same year. The series has remained influential over the yearsβthe original game even inspired a 2011 anime adaptation.
For fans who've been waiting to revisit Liberl Kingdom with modernized graphics and quality-of-life improvements, September 17 marks the next step in the Trails in the Sky revival.
