SNK unveiled a fresh trailer Friday for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, confirming that Wolfgang Krauser will arrive as a playable DLC character on April 24. The release date coincides with the fighting game's first anniversary since launching in April 2025.

Krauser joins an already packed Season Pass 2 roster. Kim Jae Hoon kicked things off in January, followed by Nightmare Geese in February and Blue Mary in March. The legendary Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star is set to arrive in June, continuing SNK's pattern of blending classic Fatal Fury characters with high-profile crossovers.

The game has maintained steady content updates throughout its first year. Early DLC characters included returning franchise favorites like Andy Bogard, Joe Higashi, and Mai Shiranui, while also introducing unexpected additions like real-life DJ Salvatore Ganacci and professional soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo. A Street Fighter crossover brought Ken and Chun-Li to the roster, expanding the fighting game crossover appeal.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves represents the franchise's return after more than two decades. The last main installment, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, released in 1999. SNK announced this new entry at EVO 2022, signaling the company's commitment to reviving one of its most recognizable fighting game series.

The game is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and Epic Games Store. Beyond the DLC characters, City of the Wolves includes a solid roster of returning fighters like Terry Bogard, Rock Howard, and B. Jenet, alongside newcomers Preecha and Vox Reaper.

Fatal Fury's legacy extends beyond gamesβ€”the franchise inspired three anime releases in the early 1990s: the Legend of the Hungry Wolf OVA, The New Battle OVA, and The Motion Picture film. All three featured character designs by the legendary Masami Ōbari, who also directed the theatrical film. Discotek Media has preserved all three anime titles for Western audiences.
