Billyrrom Signs With Universal Music, Announces Album & National Tour
Japanese six-piece Billyrrom has inked a global partnership with Universal Music and will release their major debut single "Boogie" on May 25. The band also announced a fall album and 14-date national tour kicking off in October 2026.

Tokyo-based funk band Billyrrom has officially joined Universal Music's UNIVERSAL SIGMA label as part of a new global partnership. The announcement came during the finale of their Asia tour in Taipei on April 18, with additional details revealed today.
The group's major debut single, "Boogie," drops May 25 via streaming. Following that, Billyrrom will release their first album this fall, accompanied by a nationwide tour spanning 14 venues from October 2026 through March 2027. The tour kicks off October 30 at F.A.D Yokohama in Kanagawa and concludes March 21 at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo. Fan club members can secure presale tickets through April 26.
To ease newcomers into their sound, Billyrrom released a compilation EP called "Billyrrom: Echoes" today, which revisits their catalog across multiple tracks.
The six-member band, hailing from Machida in Tokyo's suburbs, has built momentum through their funk, soul, and disco-influenced sound. Their live shows have consistently sold out annually, and they've performed at major domestic festivals plus venues across Asia. The band name reflects their philosophyβinspired by jazz pianist Bill Evans' conviction and the fluid, nomadic spirit of the Romani people.
This deal marks a significant milestone after their first Asia tour demonstrated growing international appeal. The partnership positions Billyrrom for wider reach as they prepare to share new material with audiences at home and abroad.
