Former Road of Major Members Form New Unit Mohige, Release Debut EP

Kenichi (vocals) and Kondo Nobumasa (guitar), both former members of Japanese rock band Road of Major, have launched a new musical project together. Their duo, called Mohige, released their debut EP "BACK IN PLAY" today via digital streaming platforms.

Road of Major was active from 2002 to 2007 and gained popularity in Japan's rock scene with hits like "Daisuki da yo" and "Kokoro no Oto." The band was known for their melodic rock sound and emotional lyrics that resonated with fans during the mid-2000s J-rock boom.

This marks the first collaborative project between Kenichi and Kondo since Road of Major disbanded over 15 years ago. The EP title "BACK IN PLAY" suggests the musicians are returning to their musical roots while exploring new creative directions.

While details about the EP's musical direction haven't been revealed, fans of the original band will likely be eager to hear how the duo's sound has evolved since their Road of Major days. The digital release makes the music immediately accessible to both longtime supporters and new listeners curious about this reunion project.

Mohige's formation represents another example of former J-rock band members reuniting to create new music, continuing the legacy of Japan's vibrant rock scene from the 2000s era.
