GLAY's HISASHI Contributes Guitar to GANG PARADE's Final Album Track
GLAY guitarist HISASHI has joined GANG PARADE on 'Plastic 2 Mercy (GANG FINALE ver.)', which dropped April 19. The collaboration marks a meaningful connection between the legendary rock band and the idol group ahead of GANG PARADE's planned 2026 disbandment.

GLAY guitarist HISASHI has lent his talents to GANG PARADE's latest release, contributing a climactic guitar solo to 'Plastic 2 Mercy (GANG FINALE ver.).' The track arrived April 19 as part of a special collaboration that brings together two distinct corners of Japan's music scene.
The song will appear on GANG PARADE's final album, 'GANG FINALE,' set for June 17 release. For GANG PARADE, this marks the first complete self-cover of 'Plastic 2 Mercy,' a signature track that dates back to the group's predecessor unit, Plasmine. MEG (MEGMETAL) handled the remastering and mixing, while guitarist Yuuki Nara and members of GANG PARADE's support band GANG BOYZ managed the instrumental arrangement and performance.
HISASHI's involvement comes with genuine history behind it. The guitarist has followed GANG PARADE since their early days, initially drawn in by album artwork designed by illustrator Susio. That familiarity made this collaboration feel natural rather than obligatory. HISASHI also previously appeared on a BiS album during the group's first dissolution in 2014βa connection made through BiS's former management at WACK.
In his statement, HISASHI reflected on how GANG PARADE challenged his preconceptions. "The moment I encountered 'Plastic 2 Mercy,' the image of 'idols' I held was greatly transformed," he explained. Recognizing the track's inherent quality, HISASHI deliberately chose restraint over ego, prioritizing the song's existing charm over flashy guitar work.
The timing carries particular weight since GANG PARADE announced plans to disband by year's end. The group has grown substantially since their 2019 major debut, achieving chart success with 2023's 'OUR PARADE' album and maintaining an evolving lineup through various transitions. This final album offers a chance to revisit their catalog with fresh arrangements and notable guest contributionsβmaking HISASHI's participation a meaningful capstone to the group's active years.
For rock and idol fans alike, the track represents a rare convergence of genres and generations, proving that boundary-crossing collaborations can feel authentic when there's genuine mutual respect involved.
