Hiatus Group HOME MADE Kazoku Sparks Reunion Speculation With Cryptic Post
HOME MADE Kazoku, inactive since 2016, shared a decade-old article about their hiatus on social media, fueling fan hopes for a comeback. The group's intent remains unclear.

HOME MADE Kazoku has longtime fans wondering what's next after the hiatus group posted a blast from the past on X (formerly Twitter). On April 18, the Japanese hip-hop unit shared a URL to a nearly 10-year-old article from Natalie Music announcing their indefinite hiatus, then retweeted the original post.
The move sparked immediate speculation among fans about a potential reunion. Since the group went inactive at the end of 2016, activity on their social accounts has been sparse, making even this small gesture noteworthy.
HOME MADE Kazoku formed in 1996 as a two-MC and one-DJ outfit featuring members MICRO, KURO, and U-ICHI. They built a solid following through the 2000s with hits like "Thank You!!" and "Salvia Tsubo," eventually performing their first solo show at Tokyo's Nippon Budokan in 2009. The group established themselves as consistent performers both domestically and internationally, even appearing at Singapore's Asia Anime Festival in 2016.
In August 2016, they announced they'd wrap up activities by year's end. They released a best-of album called "Last Forever Best" in November before concluding with a farewell tour across three cities that December.
Now, nearly a decade later, fans are reading between the lines. Posts like this are typically teases for announcements, though the group hasn't officially confirmed anything. The vague nature of sharing old newsβrather than, say, posting a direct comeback announcement or new musicβleaves plenty of room for interpretation.
Whether this is a deliberate hint at reunion plans, a nostalgic moment, or something else entirely remains to be seen. For now, HOME MADE Kazoku's fanbase is in wait-and-see mode, hoping the group might be considering a return after a lengthy absence from the music scene.
