Imoni Rock Fest Spinoff Returns to Japan with Kiss the Gambler
The second installment of "Soaring Whale Vol.2 Traveling Music," a spinoff of the Imoni Rock Festival, is coming to Ishinomaki, Miyagi on April 29. Kiss the Gambler and Kanamefu FΕ«ka are among the performers.

The Imoni Rock Festival is bringing its spinoff event back to Japan. "Soaring Whale Vol.2 Traveling Music" will take place on April 29 at Ishinomaki Blue Resistance in Miyagi Prefecture.
This marks the second edition of the traveling event. Last summer's inaugural installment was held in Taipei, Taiwan and earned positive reception from attendees. The organizers have now decided to expand the concept domestically, bringing the music festival experience to a new location.
Kiss the Gambler and Kanamefu FΕ«ka will headline the Miyagi event. The two artists represent the eclectic lineup organizers are cultivating for this series. MogumogΕ«, a casual izakaya (Japanese pub) based in Ishinomaki, is sponsoring the event.
The festival kicks off at 4 p.m. with performances beginning at 5 p.m. Tickets are currently available through TIGET.
The Imoni Rock Festival, which inspired this spinoff series, focuses on bringing together diverse musical acts in unique settings. By creating regional offshoots like "Soaring Whale," organizers are able to reach fans across different parts of Japan and internationally. The Taiwan location last year demonstrated the appetite for this kind of traveling festival concept, where music enthusiasts can experience performances in intimate venues outside the typical city-center music halls.
With this second installment landing in Ishinomaki, the festival continues to build momentum as both an artist platform and fan destination. The partnership with a local business also highlights how these events are becoming integrated into regional cultural communities.
