Masayuki Suzuki is bringing his smooth voice to the streets of Shibuya in a unique promotional campaign for his latest single.

Starting today (March 20) and running through March 29, the R&B veteran will appear on digital billboards throughout Tokyo's Shibuya district every evening at 5:00 PM to announce the time. The 10-day campaign promotes his newly released single "Shibuya de Goji (2026 Ver.) feat. Shibuya Nagisa."

The collaboration features NMB48 member Shibuya Nagisa, whose stage name perfectly matches the Tokyo district. The original "Shibuya de Goji" ("5 O'Clock in Shibuya") was one of Suzuki's signature hits from the 1980s, and this updated version brings the classic into 2026.

Suzuki, known for his distinctive sunglasses and soulful voice, has been a fixture in Japanese music since the late 1970s. His smooth R&B style and romantic ballads have made him a beloved figure across multiple generations of Japanese music fans.

The street screen campaign represents an creative marketing approach that ties directly into the song's Shibuya theme. Commuters and visitors in the busy district will hear Suzuki's voice ring out at 5 PM each day, creating a real-world connection to the track's concept.

This promotional strategy shows how veteran artists continue finding fresh ways to connect with audiences while celebrating their classic repertoire.
