NOMELON NOLEMON Makes THE FIRST TAKE Debut with Gundam Hit
Japanese duo NOMELON NOLEMON appears on THE FIRST TAKE for the first time, performing their breakthrough hit 'Midnight Reflection' from the Mobile Suit Gundam film.

NOMELON NOLEMON is making their debut on THE FIRST TAKE, the popular one-take performance series, premiering today at 10 p.m. JST. The two-member unitβcomprising members Tsumiki and Miki Mariaβwill perform "Midnight Reflection," the song that became their biggest hit to date.
"Midnight Reflection" originally featured as an insert song in the 2025 film Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning-. The track resonated widely with audiences and marked a major breakthrough for the duo. They previously performed the song on FLASH THE FIRST TAKE about a year ago, but this marks their first appearance on the main THE FIRST TAKE series.
In a statement, NOMELON NOLEMON shared their enthusiasm about the performance: "'Midnight Reflection' holds special meaning for us, so we're thrilled to perform it in full here. Many people discovered our music through this song, and we felt genuinely happy performing it, hoping it reaches far and wide."
The duo has built steady momentum over recent years. They debuted in August 2021 with the single "INAZMA" and have released three albums: POP (2022), Rule (2023), and their latest Eye (2026). Their earlier track "SAYONARA MAYBE" gained popularity on TikTok and other social platforms, earning them recognition as next-generation artists to watch.
Beyond music releases, NOMELON NOLEMON has also contributed to anime soundtracks, including work on the Rurouni Kenshin series. They've maintained an active touring schedule, with recent performances including their "Supermoon" national tour and album launch shows in Tokyo and Osaka earlier this year.
With THE FIRST TAKE's signature one-take filming approach, audiences will get an intimate, unedited look at NOMELON NOLEMON performing the track that introduced many fans to their sound.
