Perfume fans will get their first chance to see the group's upcoming documentary film ahead of its official May 15 release. Six locations across Japanβ€”Hokkaido, Tokyo, Aichi, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Fukuokaβ€”will host simultaneous early screenings on May 7 at 6:30 PM.

The documentary, titled "Perfume 'Cold Sleep' -25 years Document-," chronicles the iconic trio's journey from their 1999 formation in Hiroshima through their announcement earlier this year that they'd enter a dormant period after 2025. The film combines footage from their final pre-hiatus concertβ€”a two-night stand at Tokyo Dome in September 2025β€”with archival material and previously unseen content spanning their entire career.

A special premiere event is set for May 14 at TOHOγ‚·γƒγƒžγ‚Ί Hibiya in Tokyo, featuring director Satoru Sado and Daisuke Toyama of comedy duo Grange, a known Perfume enthusiast. The screening will include a talk session following the film.

Tickets through Perfume's official fan club P.T.A. are available starting today, with general sales opening May 6 on Ticket Pia. Premiere tickets go on sale May 3 through Ticket Pia and today through P.T.A.

Simultaneously, Perfume is releasing live footage from their career on home video. Two nights of "Perfume ZO/Z5 Anniversary 'Nebula Romance'" concert performances will be screened as limited-time viewings May 12-13, with interactive elements like standing applause and cheering permitted. Tickets for those events open May 2 through multiple outlets.

Perfume's decision to enter "cold sleep" came after 20 years of dominating Japan's music scene. The trioβ€”A~chan, Kashiyuka, and Nocchiβ€”rose to prominence with their 2007 hit "Polyrhythm" and went on to perform at major international festivals like Coachella and SXSW. Their most recent album project, the two-part "Nebula Romance" soundtrack concept albums released in late 2024 and 2025, set the stage for their dormancy announcement.
