Shin'hama Leon marked the release of her debut EP New Beginning with an event at LazaΓ±a Kawasaki Plaza on April 15, bringing together 1,500 fans for a mini live and special guest appearance.

The setlist kicked off with "Subete Ageyo," one of Leon's signature tracks produced by Kenshiro Kisharii and featuring lyrics by George Tokoro. She treated the crowd to her signature moveβ€”the "knee slide"β€”which sent fans into cheers. The energy carried through to "Fun! Fun! Fun!," where the audience joined in the "WAKI WAKI Dance" during the chorus.

The real highlight came when Kocchi no Kento, who wrote and composed the EP's lead single "LOVE Shinai?," took the stage as a special guest. The two performers bonded over their collaboration, with Leon expressing heartfelt gratitude for Kento's work on the track. In a warm exchange, Kento responded playfully in "Leon-speak"β€”Leon's signature cute manner of speakingβ€”leaving both Leon and the crowd laughing. The two have grown closer since their first meeting at the 2024 NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen.

During a talk segment, Kento shared creative insights about the song, revealing that he prioritized imagining the expressions on fans' faces during live performances when composing the track. The event culminated with a two-song collab performance featuring Kento's "Hai Yokonde" and "LOVE Shinai?," showcasing the chemistry between the pair.

Leon's career has steadily built momentum since her 2019 debut under Being (now B ZONE). A major turning point came in 2023 when "Tsukamatte, Konyā" became the opening theme for the Detective Conan spinoff "Hanzawa-san," with the accompanying "window-wiping dance" trending on TikTok and accumulating over 100 million views. With this EP and growing collaborations, Leon continues expanding her reach in the Japanese music scene.
