Shizuka Kudo Gets 3-Month Live Special on BS10 Premium

BS10 Premium has announced a special three-month programming block dedicated to veteran artist Shizuka Kudo's live performances, starting this March.

The "Shizuka Kudo Special" will feature concert footage spanning the singer's career, with two different live performances airing this month alone. Most notably, the programming will include footage from Kudo's very first solo concert, giving fans a rare glimpse into the early days of her solo career.

For international fans who might not be familiar, Shizuka Kudo was originally a member of the idol group Onyanko Club in the 1980s before launching a hugely successful solo career. She became one of Japan's biggest pop stars in the late 80s and 90s, known for hits like "MUGO·n..." and "Blue Velvet." Her powerful vocals and distinctive style helped define the sound of Japanese pop during that era.

The extended broadcast run suggests BS10 Premium is banking on strong viewer interest in classic J-Pop content.
