Singer-songwriter Takeuchi Anna has released a stripped-down acoustic performance of "Fushigishin no Karute," the ending theme for the anime "Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai" and its film sequel. The performance premiered on YouTube as part of Gibson's "Gibson Replays" cover series.

The video marks a notable milestone for the Gibson series, which typically features band arrangements. This is the first time the collection has highlighted a solo acoustic performance, with Takeuchi delivering a intimate take on the anime's theme.

Takeuchi performed while surrounded by six mirrors representing the anime's main characters, playing her signature Gibson Murphy Lab 1942 Banner J-45 Light Aged guitar. The stripped arrangement showcases her trademark transparent vocals and fingerstyle technique.

Born in Los Angeles and raised in Kyoto, Takeuchi is a guitarist and vocalist known for incorporating slapping techniques into her playing. She grew up listening to 1970s and 80s music through her parents' influence and picked up guitar in middle school. Her distinctive style caught attention early—in 2018, she performed at SXSW in Austin and participated in the "Japan Nite US Tour 2018" across seven American cities.

Takeuchi made her major label debut in August 2018 under Teichiku Entertainment with the EP "at ONE." Her most recent album, "DRAMAS," dropped in March 2024. She celebrated five years in the industry with a solo live show, "THE BEST DRAMAS 2018-2024," at Tokyo's Ebisu The Garden Hall in July 2024.

The Gibson Replays series continues to expand its reach, and this collaboration introduces Takeuchi's work to audiences who may know the anime but aren't yet familiar with her music. The acoustic arrangement of "Fushigishin no Karute" is available now on YouTube.
