Snow Man's Miyatachi Ryota is back on the ice. The 9-member group's member has been appointed special supporter for "Disney on Ice 'Let's Party!'" β€” the show's 40th anniversary celebration in Japan β€” continuing a role he's held for two straight years, a first for the position.

Miyatachi announced the news at a press conference on April 16 at Tokyo's City Hall & Gallery Gotanda. Last year, he made headlines by performing his first-ever ice acrobatics and lifts during "Disney on Ice 'Magic in the Stars,'" and he's ready to push further this summer.

"It's an honor to be asked back," Miyatachi said at the event. "No one has done this role twice before. I want to help more people discover and love Disney on Ice." He recently caught the American production and praised its evolution: the larger screens, better spotlight coordination, and extended character scenes that let audiences dive deeper into each story.

This year's show centers on the "40 Party" theme, with Mickey serving as DJ while his friends throw an energetic celebration. Favorites like "The Little Mermaid," "The Lion King," and "Frozen 2" return, joined by Stitch making his ice debut in 15 years. Miyatachi highlighted the mermaid sequence as particularly striking β€” neon colors bathing the ice to create an underwater world, complete with aerial performances.

Beyond his own performance, Miyatachi hopes to catch the full show with Snow Man's other members. "Last year Abe came to watch my act, but this time I want everyone lined up watching together," he said, joking about coordinating merchandise purchases. "That would be cute."

While details about his special act remain under wraps, Miyatachi promised fans heartfelt performances. "I'm nervous and excited," he explained. "I want to deliver something filled with love."

"Disney on Ice" has captivated audiences across 75+ countries for decades. Japan's 40-year run continues this summer, with Miyatachi's exact performance dates to be announced on the official website.
