After BTS's comeback album "ARIRANG" broke first-day sales records with nearly 4 million copies, the group has continued their chart domination across streaming platforms while dealing with concert event controversies.

"ARIRANG" has shattered multiple streaming milestones since its March 20 release. Apple Music confirmed the album broke records for highest first-day streams by any pop group or K-Pop artist in the platform's history. Meanwhile, Spotify announced even more impressive numbers - the album became both "the most streamed K-pop album in Spotify history" and "the most streamed album" overall on the platform's first-day charts.

The streaming success extends beyond the album itself. BTS swept the top 14 spots on Spotify's Global Chart, with tracks from "ARIRANG" completely dominating the daily rankings.

However, the comeback hasn't been without complications. Following BTS's special comeback performance at Seoul's historic Gwanghwamun Square on March 21, HYBE issued an official statement addressing issues that occurred during the event. The one-hour concert, which was livestreamed via Netflix and featured the group performing songs from "ARIRANG" for the first time, apparently faced problems that prompted both an apology and expressions of gratitude from the company.

The statement comes after earlier fan concerns about audio quality on the album, with some listeners reporting technical issues with certain tracks. Despite these bumps, "ARIRANG" and its title track "SWIM" continue to break records across multiple platforms.

The numbers speak to BTS's continued global influence as they balance massive commercial success with the challenges of large-scale live events. With streaming records still climbing and the Gwanghwamun concert issues being addressed, the "ARIRANG" era appears to be both their most successful and most eventful comeback yet.
