Singer D4vd has been arrested in connection with the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, whose body was discovered in an impounded vehicle registered to the artist in Los Angeles.

On September 9, 2025, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of a foul odor coming from a car at an impound lot. Officers found Hernandez's body inside a bag in the Tesla. The teenager had been reported missing earlier that year.

Investigations revealed that D4vd, 21, and Hernandez were allegedly involved in a romantic relationship. The singer was arrested and is currently being held without bail. The case is scheduled for filing consideration on April 20.

D4vd had maintained a presence in South Korea's music scene, visiting in late 2024 and again in May 2025 to film content. During his second trip, he performed on M!Countdown and participated in busking events in Seoul. The artist collaborated with several Korean musicians during his time there, including Hannah Bahng.

The case has drawn attention from K-Pop fans and communities given D4vd's connections within the industry, though his collaborations and performances have no direct connection to the investigation.
