Aguri Kurita's manga series Midari ni Tsukasete wa Narimasen (Don't Get Recklessly Possessed) has wrapped up its run. The final chapter appeared in the August issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Dragon Age magazine on July 9, bringing the supernatural comedy to a close.

The series follows Yasushi Sugahara, an unemployed "Yes Man" type who stumbles upon a ghost that bears an uncanny resemblance to a female college student working part-time at his family shrine. The story plays with the absurd premise of this paranormal encounter and the chaos that ensues.

Kurita started serializing the manga in November 2024, making this a relatively short run. The first collected volume shipped in July 2025, and the second and final volume will arrive in September 2026.

This marks another completed project for Kurita, who's also known for My Wife is a Little Intimidating (Boku no Oku-san wa Chotto Kowai), which began serialization on Kodansha's Comic Days website back in 2021. That series has been far more prolific—Kodansha published its 14th volume in December 2025 and continues to release the manga digitally in English through Kodansha USA Publishing.

While Don't Get Recklessly Possessed didn't reach the same longevity as Kurita's other work, the shorter run allowed for a more contained supernatural comedy story. For fans wanting to catch the complete series, the two compiled volumes represent the full arc—a relatively quick read compared to many ongoing manga properties.
