Bleach's anime adaptation is heading into its final chapter. Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War - The Calamity will premiere July 25 on TV Tokyo at 11:00 p.m. JST, marking the start of the fourth and final cours (quarter-year block) of the Thousand-Year Blood War arc.

The opening theme "I-BULL" comes from singer jo0ji, while singer-songwriter 9Lana provides the ending theme "Rasen" (Spiral). Following the TV Tokyo debut, the anime will roll out across other Japanese broadcast channels over the next two weeks, with Japanese streaming services picking it up on July 26 at noon.

Before the official premiere, Viz Media and Fathom Entertainment are bringing the first three episodes to U.S. theaters June 25-29. The screenings will feature both Japanese audio with English subtitles and a full English dub, plus an exclusive behind-the-scenes conversation with creator Tite Kubo, chief series director Tomohisa Taguchi, and series director Hikaru Murata. It's a rare chance to hear directly from the production team about bringing the manga's finale to life.

For streaming, Bleach continues its existing distribution across major platforms. Viz Media streams the series on Hulu in the U.S., while Disney+ carries it internationally and Ani-One Asia serves much of Asia.

This final arc adapts the rest of the original manga, covering volumes 55-74 of Tite Kubo's series. Part 3 wrapped up last December with a feature-length finale after premiering in October 2024. The Thousand-Year Blood War arc represents the manga's final story, so this anime adaptation will bring closure to both the serialized manga storyline and the anime itself.

With three previous cours already aired since October 2022, The Calamity will complete the anime's adaptation of Bleach's ending. The theatrical preview gives fans an early look at how the production team is handling the manga's conclusion before it hits screens worldwide.
