The popular webtoon and web novel Boss's Blatant Taste is moving from the page to screen with a live-action series adaptation in the works.

Actors Sung Hoon and Se-young Oh are currently in negotiations to headline the project. Sung Hoon has been offered the role of Do-hyuk Kwon, a wealthy AI expert who relies on data and logic to navigate life. Se-young Oh is considering the role of Eun-chae Lee, a free-spirited indie band vocalist who becomes entangled with Kwon's life.

The story, based on the web novel by Sikeukeu, centers on Kwon's search for a mysterious woman featured on an indie album—a quest that leads him to cross paths with Lee, setting up a romance between two seemingly incompatible personalities. If both actors confirm their involvement, this would mark Sung Hoon's first leading role in a romance drama in three years.

Production is already underway with producers targeting a premiere later in 2026, though specific broadcast details and network information haven't been announced yet.

For English-speaking fans, access to the source material has been limited. English versions of both the web novel and webtoon aren't currently available online. Sikeukeu's other work, the webtoon My Boss's Perfect Wedding, had an English release through Pocket Comics before that platform shut down in October 2025.

The adaptation adds to a growing trend of Korean webtoons and web novels receiving live-action treatments, bringing these digital stories to traditional television formats. With production already underway and casting in motion, fans can expect more details about the series in the coming months.
