CloverWorks Unveils Full Cast for Omnibus Film Grotesqqque
CloverWorks revealed 14 cast members for its original anime film Grotesqqque, an omnibus project featuring three separate stories. The film arrives in 2026 under director Atsushi Nishigori.

CloverWorks announced the full voice cast for Grotesqqque, its upcoming original anime film that brings together three distinct stories under one project. The studio revealed 14 voice actors and their character names on Saturday, though specific role assignments weren't disclosed.
The cast features a mix of established voice actors and members of the idol group Nogizaka46. Notable seiyuu include Rie Kugimiya, Saori Hayami, Maaya Uchida, and Rumi Ōkubo, alongside idol group members Miku Ichinose, Nagi Inoue, Nao Tomisato, and Aruno Nakanishi. Musician Gen Hoshino also joins the project.
Grotesqqque functions as an omnibus film, each segment featuring its own world and cast. The three stories are:
"Aeliens" — Featuring characters Ellie and Kento Kurikura.
"4649 Girl" (pronounced "Yoroshiku★Shōjo") — A wordplay title where the numbers represent the Japanese reading "yoroshiku," meaning "nice to meet you." This segment includes Stella, Hikarin, Gorgeous Mika, Sword, Chiffon, Papico, Poyomi, and an unnamed character called Nanashi.
"Nocturne: Kono Grotesque na Yoru ni" — Translating to "On This Grotesque Night," this story introduces Ayame, Shion, Momo, and Canna.
Atsushi Nishigori (The IDOLM@STER, DARLING in the FRANXX) directs the film while also handling screenplay and character design duties. The project emerges from JOEN, a production company jointly established by Sony subsidiary Aniplex, CloverWorks, Wit Studio, and publisher Shueisha.
The film is scheduled to release in 2026, though a specific date hasn't been announced. This omnibus format allows CloverWorks to explore multiple creative visions within a single theatrical release, giving each story its own visual and narrative identity while maintaining studio continuity.
