Two legendary mecha franchises are joining forces. Tomofumi Ogasawara has launched Mobile Suit Gundam Wing x Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - Minuet Zero on Kadokawa's KadoComi platform, bringing together the worlds of Gundam Wing and Code Geass in an official crossover manga.

Ogasawara, who previously illustrated Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Waltz: Glory of the Losers and Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection, handles the art duties here. Kōjirō Taniguchi from Sunrise—the studio behind Gundam—developed the scenario, ensuring both franchises get proper representation.

The collaboration comes as part of a bigger push for both series. Earlier this year, Bandai Namco Filmworks announced a new visual project for Mobile Suit Gundam Wing as the franchise approaches its 30th anniversary. Meanwhile, Code Geass is celebrating its 20th anniversary with multiple initiatives, including a new anime series titled Code Geass Hoshi Oi no Aspal and the television broadcast of Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture.

For Gundam Wing fans specifically, there's more to look forward to beyond the crossover. The franchise screened a promotional video at San Diego Comic-Con International last year, and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz returned to U.S. theaters in 4K resolution, with screenings running through the fall.

This crossover represents something fans have long imagined: a meeting between two of anime's most influential mecha series. While crossovers between Sunrise properties have happened before, bringing Code Geass—which isn't a Gundam series—into the fold signals the companies' willingness to experiment with their major franchises.

The manga is now available on KadoComi for readers eager to see how these two universes collide.
