Cross Infinite World Licenses 4 Light Novels for 2026 Release
The English publisher Cross Infinite World has acquired four light novels, bringing titles like Assassin Empress Bellreuge and From Bumbling Prodigy to Villainess to North American readers starting this August.

Cross Infinite World announced this week that it's licensing four light novels for English release between August and October 2026, expanding its catalog of translated works for North American fans.
The publisher's lineup includes Assassin Empress Bellreuge, hitting digital shelves on August 31. The story follows Bellreuge, a handmaiden to an imperial princess who gets swept into an unexpected marriage to Asturm, a margrave's son with a fearsome reputation as the "Bloody Wolf." When the princess forces them to flee the Imperial Capital, Bellreuge's hidden combat skills become crucial to survival. Exiled to unfamiliar territory, the pair discovers they may hold the key to the Empire's future. The series comes from creator Aoi Miyamae (story) and Hatori Kyouka (art).
Also arriving in August is From Corporate Drone to Mincemaster! One Order of Dragon Coming Right Up!, from Minato Minato (story) and Tsukito (art). The premise follows Sachi, an overworked office worker who gets caught in a magical summoning incident. While a high school girl earns praise as a "saintess," Sachi's unusual ability—Monster Mincer—gets her dismissed as useless. The story explores what happens when an average person gets a seemingly worthless power in a fantasy world.
From Bumbling Prodigy to Villainess: Will the Duke's Love Go Unnoticed? arrives September 30 in digital format, with a physical release planned for later. Created by Saki Ichibu (story) and Yukako Fujimura (art), this one subverts expectations when Avril—a gifted but underestimated young woman forced into a marriage of convenience—discovers her husband, the Duke of Lanchester, is neither decrepit nor lecherous, but a striking young man. Better yet, he's willing to divorce her after three years, giving Avril her shot at freedom if she can successfully play the role of a villainess.
Cross Infinite World didn't disclose details on the fourth licensed title in this announcement. The publisher continues its mission to bring diverse light novel stories to English-speaking audiences, with both digital and physical formats planned for various releases.
