Cyborg 009: Nemesis is rounding out its voice cast ahead of its Summer 2026 premiere. The new anime adaptation of Shoutarou Ishinomori's classic sci-fi manga revealed the eight cyborg agents and their Japanese voice actors on Friday.
The lineup includes some recognizable names from recent anime productions. Yuu Hayashi (Tokyo Revengers) voices Pyunma/008, while Hiroki Yasumoto (One Punch Man) takes on Geronimo Jr./005. Saori Hayami, known for her role in Spy x Family, rounds out the team as Françoise Arnoul/003. The original manga debuted in Weekly Shounen King back in 1964 and has proven enduring enough to spawn multiple anime and film adaptations over the decades. Toei Animation produced the first television series in 1968, with subsequent TV adaptations in 1979 and 2001-2002. The franchise has also received theatrical films in 1966, 1967, 1980, and 2012, plus the Cyborg 009: Call of Justice trilogy in 2016.
This new adaptation marks the first major anime project for the franchise since the Call of Justice films, making it a significant return for the over 60-year-old property. Streaming details and platform availability for Summer 2026 are expected to be announced as the release date approaches.
