Demon Slayer's latest film is getting the special treatment with character-exclusive artwork tied to its home video release. Three major Japanese retailers will offer unique illustrations as purchase bonuses when Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1: Akaza Returns hits Blu-ray and DVD on July 29.

Animate will feature Tanjiro Kamado and Giyu Tomioka together on their exclusive artwork, while Amazon's bonus showcases Shinobu Kocho, the Insect Hashira. Rakuten Books rounds out the campaign with Zenitsu Agatsuma, giving the popular Thunder Breathing swordsman his own dedicated retailer exclusive. The illustrations will accompany store-specific merchandise and incentives for the release.

This bonus artwork campaign comes after the film's record-breaking theatrical run. Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1 premiered in Japan on July 18, 2025, and earned over 25 billion yen (roughly $174 million USD) in its first month alone. The film expanded internationally on August 14, hitting North American theaters by September 12 and continuing to break franchise records. In February, the film made history as the first Demon Slayer entry to receive SCREENX and ULTRA 4DX releases, adding immersive multi-screen and 4D experiences for Japanese audiences.

The film marks a major milestone for the anime adaptation by ufotable, which has been guiding the series since its 26-episode debut in 2019. After the massive success of 2020's Mugen Train film—widely credited with launching the modern anime movie boom—the franchise has continued its upward trajectory through subsequent seasons and films. Season 3 wrapped up in 2023, Season 4 concluded in June 2024, and Infinity Castle Arc Chapter 1 serves as the next phase of the endgame, leading toward the manga's already-concluded story.
