Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero Gets Major DLC Drop July 30
Bandai Namco revealed the 'Super Limit Breaking NEO' DLC for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, launching July 30 with 33 new characters, fresh gameplay modes, and over 20 customizable outfits.

Dragon Ball: Sparkling! Zero is getting a substantial content update this month. Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that the "Super Limit Breaking NEO" DLC will arrive July 30, bringing a heap of new characters, modes, and customization options to the arena fighter.
The headliner is a fresh solo experience called Limit Breaker Journey mode. Here, you pick a character and travel to different locations to fight and level them up. The catch is that characters consume stamina while moving, which affects their starting health in battles. Lower stamina makes fights tougher, but you'll earn more experience from the challenge. The mode also introduces Battle Arts, which provide temporary stat boosts that carry over into other game modes.
On the character front, the DLC adds 33 new fighters to the roster. You'll get familiar faces like Chi-Chi and alternate versions of Goku, Tien, and Piccolo from the original Dragon Ball series, plus deeper cuts like King Piccolo, Mercenary Tao, Android 8, and even Jaco. Dragon Ball Super characters also make the cut, with Supreme Kai, Champa, and Cheelai joining the fray.
Beyond new fighters, you're looking at over 20 customizable costumes and super attacks, four new stages, additional Episode Battles for select characters, and extra versus mode battles. The DLC should keep players busy whether they're grinding solo or jumping into competitive matches.
A simultaneous free update will roll out new mechanics for everyone: "Sparking! Boost," a powered-up action that consumes more Skill Stock, and "Chain Blasts," which let you switch in reserve allies to extend your attack combos after knocking opponents away.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero originally launched in October 2024 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam, with Switch versions following in November. If you've been looking for a reason to jump back in, this July 30 update might be it.
