Dynasty Warriors 3 Remastered Launches October 1 with New Character
Koei Tecmo revealed during Sony's State of Play that Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered will launch October 1 across PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, featuring protagonist Ziluan from Dynasty Warriors: Origins.

Koei Tecmo confirmed the October 1 release date for Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered during Sony's State of Play livestream Tuesday, along with news that the remaster will include Ziluan, the protagonist from Dynasty Warriors: Origins.
The remaster of the original 2001 PlayStation 2 title will be available on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. The announcement comes after the game was delayed from its originally planned March 19 launch.
Ziluan's inclusion connects the remaster to the 2025 entry Dynasty Warriors: Origins, which launched in January across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and later arrived on Switch 2 in January as well. This cross-promotional approach ties together the classic entry with the modern series reboot.
The original Dynasty Warriors 3 released on PS2 in 2001 and later came to Xbox in 2002, making this remaster a significant refresh for a game that helped define the hack-and-slash action genre. The Complete Edition designation suggests this version includes additional content beyond the base game.
With the October 1 target still on track after delays, fans of the franchise will have another way to experience the classic title while also connecting with the current generation of Dynasty Warriors games. The multi-platform release ensures accessibility across current-gen consoles and PC.
