Fall 2026 is officially underway, and anime fans have nine fresh series to dig into this season. Anime News Network has published its comprehensive preview guide, spotlighting a diverse lineup that should appeal to different tastes across the fandom.

Among the standouts is Steel Ball Run, which continues to bring the high-octane energy fans expect from the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure universe. The preview also highlights Firefly Wedding, a romance-focused entry that looks to deliver on character development and emotional depth.

For those after action and progression, Overgeared and Reincarnated as a Sword both adapt popular web novel and light novel properties, blending game-like mechanics with character-driven storytelling. Overgeared in particular has been generating buzz for how it translates its source material's leveling systems to the screen, while Reincarnated as a Sword takes the unusual premise of playing a sentient weapon and runs with it.

Vermilion Mask rounds out the featured titles, offering viewers what appears to be a more grounded narrative focused on mystery and character intrigue. This series could appeal to fans who prefer slower burns and atmospheric storytelling over action-heavy spectacle.

The preview covers more than just these headliners—ANN's full guide includes eight other series worth checking out, giving the Fall 2026 season genuine depth. Whether you're into fantasy adaptations, romantic comedy, action-adventure, or anything in between, there's something in this season's lineup.

With streaming platforms continuing to simulcast most major releases, fans should have easy access to these shows week to week. The variety this season offers means there's no need to choose just one—many viewers will likely find themselves juggling multiple titles through the coming months.
