SNK has announced Kim Kaphwan as the next paid DLC character for Fatal Fury City of the Wolves, with a launch date of September 24. June Yoon voices the character in English, while Kunihiro Kawamoto handles the Japanese version.

The reveal came via a new trailer on Saturday, continuing SNK's steady stream of post-launch content for the fighting game. Kim Kaphwan joins a roster that has expanded significantly since the game's April 2025 debut across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Beyond the Kim Kaphwan announcement, SNK shared major platform news during Nintendo's recent Direct presentation. Fatal Fury City of the Wolves will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 digitally on October 22, with a physical release following in January 2027. This marks the game's first appearance on Nintendo hardware.

Season 3 DLC content is already rolling out, with Manjiro Sano and Ken Ryuguji from Tokyo Revengers scheduled to join the roster in October as part of the season pass. The season began July 23 with Rick Strowd, followed by Duck King on August 27. Upcoming additions include Laocorn in November and a mystery character in December.

The game has drawn heavily from anime and manga properties for its crossovers. Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star debuted in June, while previous seasons included characters from Street Fighter (Ken and Chun-Li). The roster also features celebrity appearances from DJ Salvatore Ganacci and professional soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, alongside classic Fatal Fury characters like Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui, and Geese Howard.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves represents the franchise's first major entry in over twenty years. SNK first announced the game at EVO 2022, reviving one of the company's most recognizable fighting game series and introducing it to new platforms and audiences.
