The Fate/Grand Order anime shorts are back. Fate/Grand Order: Fujimaru Ritsuka wa Wakaranai (Fate/Grand Order: Ritsuka Fujimaru Doesn't Get It) will launch its fourth season on August 7 at 9:00 p.m. JST, with new episodes dropping every two weeks on Club Chaldea FGO Radio Station.

The announcement came during the "Yūshikisha Himitsu Kaigō ~Chaldea Gakuensai~" stage presentation at FGO Fes. 2026, the franchise's annual fan event.

Based on creator Tsuchida's comedy manga, the series follows Ritsuka Fujimaru, humanity's last Master. Despite playing a crucial role in restoring humanity itself, his defining trait is his meekness—and the show mines that contradiction for laughs. The manga has been running on Kadokawa's Type-Moon Comic Ace platform since June 2020.

This will be the fourth go-around for the anime adaptation. The first season ran for 33 episodes between February and July 2023. Season two launched in August 2024 and concluded on December 31, 2024, airing alongside the Fate/strange Fake anime special and the start of the Fate/strange Fake TV series. Season three kicked off in August 2025 and wrapped up in December with its final three episodes.

The Fate/Grand Order franchise itself is a juggernaut—the mobile game has spawned multiple anime adaptations across different tones and styles. The main story anime got a theatrical treatment, while spinoffs like this shorts series have let creators experiment with comedy and parody. Fujimaru Ritsuka wa Wakaranai has become a fan favorite partly because it doesn't take itself seriously, offering a refreshing counterpoint to the more dramatic corners of the FGO universe.

For fans of the franchise, the shorts provide a regular dose of humor tied to the game's events and characters. For newcomers, they're a low-stakes entry point into the world—no need to have cleared Singularities or rolled for SSR servants to enjoy Ritsuka being bewildered by everything around him.
