Square Enix pulled back the curtain on the next chapter of the Final Fantasy VII remake saga at Summer Game Fest on Friday, revealing Final Fantasy VII Revelation for a spring 2027 release.

The announcement marks the conclusion of the remake trilogy that began with Final Fantasy VII Remake in 2020. Producer Naoki Hamaguchi took the stage to highlight the game's central theme: "resolve." According to Hamaguchi, the story follows Cloud and his companions as they find their determination heading into their final battle.

Unlike previous entries in the remake series, Square Enix is committing to a simultaneous worldwide launch across all major platforms. The game will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PC via Steam, PC via Epic Games Store, and Xbox Cloud on the same day come spring 2027.
