GKIDS has lined up several anime and live-action releases for home video, announced during the company's Anime Expo panel on Sunday.

The distributor will release a 4K UHD Collector's Edition for the Look Back anime film on September 8. Based on Tatsuki Fujimoto's one-shot manga, the film follows Fujino, a popular student known for her comics, who becomes competitive with Kyomoto, a reclusive classmate with exceptional artistic talent. The pair's rivalry eventually transforms into a shared creative bond over their love of drawing.

The anime film hit Japanese theaters in June 2024, earning ¥227 million (roughly $1.40 million USD) across its opening three days and claiming the #1 position in weekend earnings. GKIDS screened it in North America in October 2024, where it grossed $688,253 during its opening weekend at the U.S. box office. The company is also developing a live-action adaptation set to release in 2026 across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Ireland.

On September 22, GKIDS will ship a 4K UHD Collector's Edition of Angel's Egg, a newly restored version of Mamoru Oshii's 1985 original video anime. Created in collaboration with artist Yoshitaka Amano, the surreal film follows a girl guarding a mysterious egg and a boy searching for a bird from his dreams. The restoration was supervised by Oshii himself and sourced from a fresh 35mm film negative scan. GKIDS previously screened the remaster during a two-day North American run in November 2025.

Additionally, GKIDS will release a Blu-ray Disc edition of director Hideaki Anno's 1998 live-action film LOVE & POP on October 6. The film centers on Hiromi, a Tokyo schoolgirl who spends summer 1997 dating older men for money alongside her friends, armed only with a cellphone.

All three releases will be available as GKIDS Store exclusives.
