Crypton Future Media and Good Smile Company revealed Hatsune Miku Nendoroid Starry Party at the Anime Expo panel on Saturday. The 3D party game will release in 2027 for Nintendo Switch 2 and PC via Steam.

Players will control characters from the Hatsune Miku franchise—Rin, Len, Luka, Meiko, and Kaito—all styled as Nendoroid figurines as they compete in various party games. The announcement trailer featured the track "StargazeR" by Kots Beirne featuring Hatsune Miku, and the panel teased additional playable characters.

The news arrived alongside a separate announcement from Dwango about a global collaboration project called "BEYOND BORDERs." The initiative pairs Vocaloid producers with Western music artists for an EP using Hatsune Miku software, with Miku as lead vocalist. The project includes contributions from artists like Grimes, slayr, MOLIY, Odetari, and George Clanton, with producers including Grant Boutin (who works with Tate McRae), VADAKIN (Grimes), and others. The collaboration will roll out singles throughout the summer, with the full EP arriving this fall.

The Miku ecosystem has expanded significantly across media. The Project Sekai: Colorful Stage smartphone game, which launched in Japan in 2020 and globally in 2021, inspired an anime film that opened in Japan in January. COLORFUL STAGE! The Movie: A Miku Who Can't Sing earned 306.8 million yen (roughly $2.15 million) in its first three days. North American distributor GKIDS screened it theatrically in the U.S. and Canada in 2025, and released it digitally on multiple platforms before issuing a Collector's Edition Blu-ray in April.
