Hiroshi Kamiya is stepping into the spy world of Mission: Yozakura Family for Season 2. The accomplished voice actor will play Kai Izumo, described as Kyoichiro's best friend and the president of the spy association. The character made his anime debut in episode 38, which aired on Sunday during the "Chayamachi Oshi Festival 2026" stage presentation.

The second season has been running since April 12 on MBS, TBS, and 26 affiliated channels in Japan as part of the "Nichigo" programming block. Hulu streams the new episodes in the United States.

For Season 2, SILVER LINK continues production with notable staff changes. Takahiro Nakatsugawa stepped up to direct the anime after working as a storyboard artist and episode director on Season 1. Mirai Minato remains as chief director and oversees the scripts. Character designer Mizuki Takahashi, composer Kōji Fujimoto, and sound director Tōru Kanegae all return from the first season.

The opening theme "What's 'KAZOKU'" (What's "Family") is performed by idol group Sakurazaka46, while Pilaf Alien handles the ending theme "Shalala."

For those unfamiliar with the series: high school student Taiyou Asano, emotionally isolated after a family tragedy, reconnects with childhood friend Mutsumi Yozakura—who happens to be the leader of the world's strongest spy family. To survive her overprotective brother's interference, Taiyou marries into the family and begins his training as a spy while uncovering secrets about both the Yozakura clan and his own past.

The anime adapts Hitsuji Gondaira's manga, which concluded its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump in January 2025 after running since August 2019. All 29 volumes have been published, with the final volume released in March 2025. Viz Media has published the English translation both digitally and in physical print.

In the US, the first season is available on Hulu with an English dub, while Japan viewers can stream it on Prime Video and Netflix.
