The anime adaptation of Tetsuhiro Koshita's Honō no Tōkyūjo: Dodge Danko has unveiled 18 additional cast members, filling out the rosters of its four competing dodgeball teams.

The announcement includes voice actors for St. Arrows, Tosa Attackers, US Buffaloes, and Black Armors. Notable cast members include Satomi Akesaka as Ruka Sakamoto for the Tosa Attackers and Mariya Ise as Ran Midou leading the Black Armors. Fairouz Ai, who previously voiced Zoe, reprises her role for the US Buffaloes team.

Manaka Nakayama voices the series protagonist Danko Ichigeki, Danpei's daughter, alongside Kaori Maeda as Chinko Kobotoke and Yō Taichi as Susan Canon. The supporting cast includes Katsuyuki Konishi as adult Danpei and Tetsu Inada as Chinnen Kobotoke.

A nostalgia touch comes courtesy of Noriko Hidaka, who voiced Danpei in the original Honō no Tōkyūji Dodge Danpei anime. She returns to narrate this sequel and voice Danpei in flashback scenes.

Hiroshi Ikehata directs the series at CUE, bringing experience from Dark Gathering and TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You. Kazuho Hyōdō handles series composition, while character designer Narihito Sekikawa serves as chief animation director. The opening theme "Kaishin no Ichigeki" (A Masterful Play) is performed by J-pop group Momoiro Clover Z.

Unlike the original manga that centered on Danpei's journey to build a dodgeball dynasty, this sequel follows Danko's quest to assemble the strongest team in the Reiwa era. The anime marks the franchise's return to television after the original series, adapting the newer storyline for a fresh generation of fans.

The series is scheduled to premiere this fall.
