MBS announced it is producing a live-action adaptation of Tamifull's How Do We Relationship? (Tsukuatte Agete mo Ii ka na), the LGBTQ+ romance manga that ran in Shogakukan's Ura Sunday and Manga ONE from August 2018 to March 2025. The eight-episode series will premiere on MBS on September 10.

The cast features Riho Sayashi as Saeko Sawatari and Sakurako Konishi as Miwa Inuzuka, the story's two leads. Kana Yamada directs episodes 1, 2, 3, 6, and 8, while Sunhye Hong handles episodes 4, 5, and 7. Miki Matsugasako writes the scripts, with Tomohide Harada composing the music.

The production credits also list Momoko Nishiyama as intimacy coordinator and Yuri Igarashi for LGBTQ supervision—credits that reflect the adaptation's approach to the source material's central relationship.

According to Viz Media, which licensed the manga in English, the story follows Miwa, a shy woman from small-town Japan who has always struggled to find love, especially since she's attracted to women. When her outgoing college classmate Saeko casually suggests they start dating each other as a pragmatic solution—neither has other prospects—Miwa agrees. What begins as a practical arrangement shifts as their dynamic deepens, leaving Miwa to wonder if their casual proposal can become real love.

The manga concluded with its 14th and final volume published in April 2025 by Shogakukan, with Viz Media releasing the English edition the same month. Manga creator Tamifull thanked both longtime readers and the production team in a statement celebrating the announcement, and provided an original illustration for the occasion.
