I'm Dating a Dark Summoner Anime Reveals Full Production Team
The short anime adaptation of Shaoh's I'm Dating a Dark Summoner manga has unveiled its complete production staff through a new teaser video. The series premieres in October on HIDIVE.

The official teaser for I'm Dating a Dark Summoner (Dark Summoner to Dekiteiru) just dropped, and it comes loaded with production details. AtoriE is handling animation duties on this short anime, with support from Nyan Pollution-ω-.
The creative team includes director Seiya Miyajima (known for Umayon and BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Pico), who's also overseeing scripts. Takahiro Sasaki rounds out the core team as character designer and chief animation director, bringing experience from Chronicles of the Going Home Club.
Behind the scenes, Fumihiko Ōtera leads sound design, while Yōichirō Yamamoto handles art direction. Daiki Ura manages color design, Tasuku Ozu oversees photography, and Toma Hayashima handles editing. Producers Yasuhiro Aoki and Kōta Hashiguchi complete the roster.
The voice cast features Rei Takano as Amona, Yūki Nishiyama as Roni, and Hōden Tei Senmai as Imp.
The manga tells an unlikely romance between Amona, a demi-human dark summoner wielding demonic power, and Roni, a righteous cleric. Despite their opposing natures, the two quickly develop feelings for each other—quite literally on Amona's first day in the party. Shaoh's fantasy comedy launched in Kadokawa's Dra Dra Sharp# online magazine back in 2021 and has reached seven compiled volumes, with the latest dropping this March.
WWWave Corporation's Deregula anime label is producing the adaptation. The company also runs the ComicFesta web manga service and AnimeFesta programming block, so they've got experience bringing web manga to screen.
The anime hits October with HIDIVE handling streaming duties, making it accessible for North American viewers. If you're into fantasy comedies with romantic subplots and morally gray characters, this one's worth keeping on your radar.
