Crunchyroll is now streaming a new OVA episode for The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter (also known as Isekai Office Worker in North America). The bonus episode, labeled as episode 13, dropped on Tuesday and comes bundled with the anime's third Blu-ray and DVD volume, which shipped on May 27.

The OVA follows Seiichirō Kondō as he discovers a mysterious magic tool resembling a kaleidoscope five days after moving in with Aresh. Based on the light novel series by Yatsuki Weakest and illustrator Kikka Ohashi, the anime has been a hit among BL fans since its January premiere.

The series originally aired on AT-X on January 6, with simultaneous broadcasts on Tokyo MX, BS11, Sun TV, and KBS Kyoto. Studio DEEN produces the anime under the direction of Shinji Ishihara, with Yoshiko Nakamura handling series composition. This creative team has collaborated on other BL projects including Sasaki and Miyano and Super Lovers, bringing established chemistry to the production.

The voice cast remains consistent for the OVA, featuring Kent Itō as Kondō and Tomoaki Maeno as the ice nobleman Aresh Indrak, alongside returning supporting cast members like Seiichirō Yamashita (Norbert), Hiroki Tōchi (Kamil), and others.

The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter tells the story of a dedicated Japanese office worker transported to a fantasy world through a mysterious summoning ritual. Rather than abandon his workaholic ways, Kondō continues his diligent approach—until meeting Aresh forces him to reconsider what life has to offer beyond his job.

Crunchyroll is streaming the series in North America, Central and South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the Indian Subcontinent. Yen Press is releasing both the original light novel and manga adaptation in English. For fans wanting to experience the story from the source material, both versions are available through the publisher.
