Colopl announced that TSUKUYOMI will release on PC via Steam on July 24, bringing Kazuma Kaneko's deck-building RPG to a new platform. The game will feature full audio in English and Japanese, with text support for English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

TSUKUYOMI is the offline, polished version of TSUKUYOMI - The Divine Hunters, the free-to-play mobile and PC game that launched in May 2025 and ended service on April 22. The Nintendo Switch version arrived on April 23, and the Steam release continues the game's multiplatform push.

The Switch edition introduced substantial improvements over the original: a new character, expanded story, rebalanced gameplay, updated UI, and new card art from Kaneko. One notable change—the Switch version abandoned the generative AI system used in the original mobile game to create new card artwork. Instead, the new PC version will follow the Switch's approach, relying entirely on Kaneko's hand-crafted designs.

The game's core concept centers on four Jinma Hunters exploring "The Hashira," a demon-infested skyscraper. Each hunter brings a distinct gameplay style to the deck-building experience, encouraging different strategies and playstyles.

Kaneko, the legendary character designer who spent nearly four decades at Atlus working on Shin Megami Tensei and Persona, joined Colopl in 2025 after leaving the studio. He initially pitched TSUKUYOMI (then called "Project Mask") as "a new game experience themed on creating 'god.'" His departure marked the end of an era for the designer, though his work continues to define Colopl's vision.

For players invested in the original mobile version, Colopl allowed them to transfer three random favorite cards to the Switch version before shutdown. The Steam release gives the game yet another chance to find an audience among PC gamers who prefer offline experiences over live-service games.
