Kodansha USA revealed its spring 2026 print release lineup at Anime Expo, bringing several new and spinoff titles to English-speaking readers.

Among the announcements is Fatale Game by Baan, a manga about Seri Tainaka, a struggling artist who once had a hit series called "To Hell and Back" a decade ago. After years of mediocre work, she's assigned a new editor named Sumire Futami—a woman so devoted to her success that she claims she'd chase her to the ends of the earth. The catch? Futami is editing multiple manga artists at once, and they're willing to compete fiercely for her attention and favor.

Witch Hat Atelier: Special Stories offers fans a different kind of expansion. Created and supervised by Kamome Shirahama, this prose collection features three exclusive side stories featuring characters from the original Witch Hat Atelier manga series. The stories range from Olruggio encountering a mysterious magical creature to the Knights Moralis going undercover.

The Chronicles of Leënde (Leënde Koku Monogatari) by Rei Tasaki and Nezu Usugumo follows fifteen-year-old aristocrat Julia Schreiber, who convinces her father—a celebrated knight—to take her on a journey to a magical land plagued by a mysterious illness. There she meets Tristan, a secretive archer, and finds herself caught between personal growth and dangerous conspiracies.

Also included in the lineup is The Serenade of Spring Thunder (Yawahada ni Shunrai) by Nikki Asada, though details remain limited.

Kodansha USA continues its strategy of licensing diverse manga titles across genres, from character-driven dramas like Fatale Game to fantasy adventures and beloved franchise spinoffs. These releases give English readers access to stories that might not receive anime adaptations, while also capitalizing on existing fanbases like those following Witch Hat Atelier.
