Koei Tecmo has entered Japan's IP360 project, a government grant program supporting media creators looking to expand Japanese content internationally. The studio's new project, temporarily called "Fuji," is an action game featuring oriental-inspired visuals.

The IP360 initiative, unveiled by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), aims to increase overseas sales of Japanese creative works to 20 trillion yen by 2033. Koei Tecmo joins a roster of major studios and publishers receiving grants, including Arc System Works, Konami Digital Entertainment, Square Enix, Sega, and anime studios Aniplex, Trigger, and MAPPA.

While details about "Fuji" remain sparse—the title itself is temporary—the project's inclusion in the government initiative suggests Koei Tecmo is positioning it for international appeal. The studio has a strong track record with action games across multiple franchises, from the long-running Warriors series to recent hits like Nioh and Wild Hearts.
